Meet Quinn

Hi there! I’m Quinn, an animal enthusiast with a deep love for nature, adventure, and—of course—pets! My love for animals started early; I was obsessed with dogs, cats, hamsters, and parrots; and spent much of my free time after school researching animal care on blogs, YouTube, and joining local clubs. My journey into pet care began in middle school, inspired by my childhood lab, Midnight. I began offering dog walking services in my local neighborhood, dreaming of one day making a career out of my passion. I connected with so many furry friends and even began riding my bike to walk dogs beyond my local neighborhood.

By high school, I had built a clientele of daily dog-walking clients and successfully negotiated with my parents—complete with PowerPoint presentation—on overnight pet sitting, passing out business cards at grocery stores and local community events. While I was just starting in the world of pet care, I created a YouTube Channel that rapidly gained over 20,000 subscribers. I focused my content on education of proper exotic pet care for captive parrots, as I had seen this topic be incredibly overlooked by chain pet stores and many exotic parrot breeders. It became clear to me that inadequate education is a pressing issue regarding animal welfare. In search of trying to find different ways for me to spread awareness and contribute, I then joined a Bay Area Parrot Club. We met monthly to discuss avian care, veterinary research, and ethical parrot ownership. While every local animal shelter I reached out to required volunteers to be 18 years or older, I was dedicated to make a difference in the lives of Bay Area pets and began rescuing and rehoming abandoned parrots and those whose owners could no longer care for them. I was able too rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome five sweet parrots in need of homes and medical care, as well as have the opportunity too adopt my very own Lovebird, Freya. With Freya on my shoulder through every day, my growing clientele and a thriving YouTube Channel, I was more than eager to begin my full-time career in adulthood in the pet care industry. However, during my later teen years, I faced personal challenges, including health issues and the loss of my childhood dog Midnight, which truly took a toll on my happiness and joy in life. As I continued to learn, spread awareness on animal welfare and grow my love for animals to escape this low in my life, I entered the workforce in the pet industry at a local dog boarding facility. I was thrilled to begin working with dogs at a higher volume and to make a personal impact in the pet care industry. Unfortunately, at both this boarding facility and others, I personally witnessed animal neglect, cruelty, and abuse in the corporate world, making me seriously reconsider my desire to get involved in the pet care industry as a career. Seeing furry family members being treated unfairly while staff and management overlooked serious concerns discouraged my drive and made my passion dwindle. After leaving these boarding businesses with a horrific view of the pet care industry, Freya suddenly passed away. Her necropsy report confirmed that she had experienced a sudden heart attack and rapidly my once joy and happiness with pet care and animal welfare was now deeply discouraged.

Once I met Kat, we both discussed our love for animals through sharing our experiences and passion for animal welfare. I came to realize that there was something I could do to make an impact in animals lives, rediscovering my passion for animal welfare. Together, we began offering pet care services across the Bay Area, the inspiring adventure and rewarding experience of caring for furry family members bringing back the free-spirited happiness I had lost during tough times in my later teen years. As we started our journey as full-time pet care providers, we quickly recognized the need for high-quality, detail-oriented, and reliable care—not just for our friendly, healthy clients, but especially for the pups with Health concerns and behavioral challenges that often lead boarding facilities as well as fellow sitters to turn them away.

Our passion evolved into a deep interest in finding ethical and trust-based approaches to care for animals with unique needs. Throughout this journey, I’ve found so much joy in earning the trust of anxious dogs, taking walks with happy pups, and watching puppies grow into well-mannered companions. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact we’ve made on so many furry friends and their families, and I am incredibly grateful for every opportunity that has brought me here.

With ongoing education and a commitment to learning, we’re always striving to find new methods and positive reinforcement techniques to support the Bay Area pet community. By exploring the latest research in animal behavior and implementing innovative practices, we aim to enhance the well-being of pets and strengthen the bond between pets and their owners. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where every pet can thrive and every owner experience a sense of trust and confidence in our services.
